Monitoring and maintain the measurement instrument/ equipment calibration up to date.
Create Non-conformance reports (NCRs), when required. Provide marking and isolation of nonconforming products/ parts.
Create disposition plan for every Non-conformance report, monitoring status of created NCRs and implementation of disposition.
Re-inspect nonconforming products/ parts after repair/rework.
Need to perform duty as and when required by Shop supervisors and job priority.
Involve in internal and external audits.
Candidate must have been previously certified and experienced with performing PT and MT NDT Inspections including evaluating discontinuities and report writing.
Must have documented NDT classroom hours and minimum 3 years NDT experience with these two NDT disciplines.
Perform Brinell and Rockwell hardness tests on raw material and finished machined parts for comparison against Engineering specifications and purchase order requirements for acceptance.
Ensure the traceability of all parts required and documentation trail are in place.
Record and document traceable information which will be required to certify the manufacturing process, to the highest standards.
Interpret API standards and client requirements to ensure the relevant standards are met in relation to the product.
Work with Document Control Team to complete any documentation required by customer, purchase order, or engineering specifications.
Perform other work-related task as assigned.
Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities:
Perform a wide verity of inspection and quality control operations in NDT and hardness, making necessary critical observations, tests, and completing appropriate documentation as required.
Education/Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
AWS CWI /CSWIP 3.1 Certified Welding Inspector as minimum.
ASNT SNT-TC-1A NDT Level II for PT and MT as minimum.
Experience Required:
Minimum 3 years of dimensional experience.
Knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Familiar with API 4F, 8C, and 16A, and AWS D1.1 code requirements.
The following are a plus:
NDT Level II for UT.
NACE or BGas Certified Coating Inspector level II.
Experience performing Brinell and Rockwell hardness testing.
