Duties and Responsibilities - Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Inspect and monitor the installation of MEP systems, ensuring they adhere to project specifications, industry standards, and relevant regulations.
Conduct routine inspections and random checks on mechanical (HVAC, piping), electrical (wiring, panels, lighting), and plumbing systems.
Verify the quality of materials and components used in MEP installations.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards during MEP installations.
Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, including test results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans.
Document and maintain records of quality checks, material certifications, and site inspections.
Assist in preparing quality control plans, method statements, and inspection test plans (ITPs) for MEP works.
Oversee and participate in testing, commissioning, and functional performance evaluations of MEP systems.
Coordinate with subcontractors and third-party testing agencies for quality assurance activities.
Verify calibration and functionality of MEP systems and equipment.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues and discrepancies.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies regarding quality standards and project compliance.
Provide technical guidance to site teams and subcontractors to ensure quality requirements are met.
Ensure all MEP works comply with relevant local, national, and international codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, IPC, IEC).
Keep up-to-date with industry developments, regulations, and best practices in MEP quality management.
Conduct audits of MEP processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
