Job description

The Quality Assurance Representative will perform Field and Sustainment Level maintenance support/augmentation to include Maintenance Control, Quality Control, Supply Management, maintenance, inspections, and repair of aircraft to achieve the aviation maintenance mission of the RSNF PMI. Position requires a skilled Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) with the ability to provide the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) Planned Maintenance Interval (PMI) Team with a fully qualified Quality Control Specialist that has a good working knowledge of the NAMP and the 4790.2. Will assist and train the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) QA work center on procedures, audits, and QA functions.

QAR works with the RSNF PMI Team and RSNF QA work center performing Field Level maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, testing, maintenance repairs, and Technical Directive compliance on the MH-60R Airframe in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Implements quality control and ground safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications and manage, monitor, and inspect aeronautical programs, and perform database entry with detailed knowledge of the Navy Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) and Computerized Self Evaluation Checklist (CSEC).
  • Inspects and verifies proper completion of documentation of Safety of Flight discrepancies.
  • Briefs and debriefs pilots and crew members assigned to perform functional check flights post IMP/PMI process.
  • Performs Special, Work Center, and Program audits and inspections of maintenance actions, procedures, equipment, and facilities.
  • Examines parts and components for conformance to design specification to determine serviceability; serviceable, unserviceable-repairable, unserviceable-non-repairable, affixing appropriate form/tag for disposition; return to stock, route to appropriate shop for repair and/or turn-in.
  • Reviews maintenance source documents, aircraft inspection records, notes, recurring discrepancies, or trends and initiates appropriate action.
  • Monitors timeliness and applicability of aircraft maintenance technical data and/or technical library. Manages the technical improvement program and reviews engineering investigative requests.
  • Initiates and reviews quality deficiency reports, technical deficiency reports, and hazardous material reports to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Documents and reviews aircraft weight and balance data to ensure accuracy and provide oversight during actual aircraft weighing procedures.
  • Provides support to Quality Assurance/Environmental, Safety and Health Program by supporting the overarching requirements of the AS9110 Quality and Safety management plan.
  • Establishment of quality control programs, job time reporting, aircraft modification and configuration control, and coordination of aircraft flight requirement with using activity.
  • Coordinate and direct activities between maintenance and supply sections to provide harmonious and effective mission accomplishment. Ensuring the authorized quality plans and programs are properly executed.
  • Plan, develop, publish, and implement sound quality control maintenance procedures for the effective administration, supervision, and operation of the aircraft quality control activities.
  • Provide backup quality control inspection of the MH-60 series helicopters at the Depot levels.
  • Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Minimum of 6-8 years Quality Assurance and/or Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years rotary wing experience.

  • Must have knowledge of Navy and Depot level logistics support that includes repair and overhaul procedures for airframes, engines, and components.
  • Must have knowledge in supply, maintenance, quality control, production control, and safety.
  • Must have demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must be fluent in the English language.
  • Must be capable of obtaining a valid light equipment operator’s license.
  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma.

Preferences:

  • Navy MH-60 CDQAR
  • Navy MH-60 series experience.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand Arabic is desirable.
  • FAA A&P with Inspection Authorization IA - desirable, not required.

Clearance Requirement:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization to work at this facility.

May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, APU, etc.
