QC Inspector (Refractory)
Job description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of refractory materials and installations to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Perform detailed assessments of refractory linings and components, identifying potential defects that could compromise performance.
- Document and report findings of inspections, including non-conformities, to ensure transparency and facilitate corrective actions.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in quality control within the refractory or ceramics industry is essential.
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred to ensure technical knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with refractory testing methods and equipment is crucial for effective assessment and evaluation.
- Proficiency in English is required, while knowledge of additional languages can enhance communication in diverse teams.
- Strong analytical skills are necessary to interpret inspection data and identify trends in material performance.
- Ability to work in high-temperature environments and lift heavy materials, reflecting physical fitness for on-site inspections.
- Exceptional attention to detail is critical to catch minor defects that could lead to major failures in refractory applications.
