Job description

The main role of the Quality Control Inspector is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of mechanical systems and equipment within YRD refinery. You will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and evaluating mechanical components and systems to ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco & industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform external inspections for in-service equipment such as Shell and Tube Exchangers, Drums, Columns, Piping, and Tanks.
  2. Perform internal inspections for Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, and Exchangers during T&I.
  3. Record the results in inspection reports, pre and post testing and inspection (T&I) reports, worksheets in SAIF/SAP.
  4. Review NDT and welding reports.
  5. Inspect fabrication work including welding and coatings.
  6. Communicate defective conditions to the proponent.
  7. Monitor/Review NDT results to determine defects and issue recommendations for repair or replacement as required.
  8. Participate in RCA and other technical discussions.
  9. Maintain and update static equipment/piping records and historical data.
  10. Verify and approve repair activities on static equipment and piping.
  11. Perform annual surveys and other field inspections as per corporate program.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  2. CSWIP 3.1
  3. CBT Passed
  4. Aramco Approved
