Job Title: Quality Control & Quality Assurance Engineer
Responsibilities:
Inspect welds; make recommendations for accepting or rejecting work, ensuring safety standards.
Monitor all aspects of the welding process before, during, and after welding to ensure that the finished weldment has been produced in accordance with a code or specification and complies with the stated requirements of that code or specification.
Verify welding equipment appropriateness.
Prepare new WPS/PQR in order to optimize production manhours.
Train and qualify all welders and welding operators in all positions and welding processes.
Establish new welding techniques, train, and orient welders, ensuring correct welding consumables are used.
Timely preparation and maintenance of all in-process QC reports and getting them reviewed/approved by the client inspector.
