Job Purpose

• Vendor development for localization
• Purchase Direct & Indirect material as per demand
• Settle the purchase rate & negotiate with supplier.
• Supplier Quality Audit.
• Commodities: Mechanical machined, Electrical, fabricated, press, forged, casted parts of switchgear industry or manufacturing industry & Consumables bought outs items.

Job Context

Ensure all rate settlement will be done as per purchasing policy, new vendor development for localization, cost reduction need to achieve through different methods, supplier quality improvements.

Job Dimensions

The Job involves developing vendors for direct & indirect material based on demand, finding alternate suppliers, cost reduction, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.

Key Accountabilities

These will include:

1. Source new suppliers as per QMS guidelines of LSA.
2. Drawing / specification review.
3. Localization development of different commodities in KSA.
4. Should cost analysis for the requirements.
5. Coordinate with technical internal stakeholders for the due diligence of new suppliers/ parts to be developed.
6. Float formal enquiries in favor of LSA.
7. Assist suppliers for development & pass through the samples as per Global standards.
8. Tool / die development along with its contract & log sheet management.
9. Supplier improvement for quality & delivery.
10. Cost reduction for existing sources YoY.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience

• More than 4 years’ experience in purchasing or vendor development, specifically in electrical/mechanical/consumables parts procurement & development.
• Delivery OTIF: 96% at least
• Quality PPM: 250 for assigned commodities.
• Cost: 3% reduction in spend for assigned commodities.
• QMS/ Contract management: 100% adherence to QMS, its continual improvement & contract sign off.
• PR to PO conversion process to support production team.
• Follow up with suppliers & ensure timely delivery of materials.
• More than 4 years’ experience in Direct/Indirect Purchase department in a manufacturing company, preferably in the switchgear industry.
• Graduate bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, or engineering with Supply Chain Professional certificate.
• Excellent negotiation & persuasive skills with high-level technical knowledge in electrical and mechanical materials and suppliers.
• Experience in vendor development and resourcing supplies.
• Experience working with suppliers globally.
• Self-starter with initiative for additional responsibilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Data-oriented and logical thinking are key attributes required.
• Impeccable integrity is a must.
• Hands-on experience in ERP packages (experience in Microsoft AX is an advantage).
• Good communication skills.

Experience in the Middle East market is an advantage.
