ABOUT PIPECARE Group:

Founded in 1998, we serve national and international pipeline operators across more than 85 countries. We are in search of a Purchasing Officer who is a highly motivated and quality-conscious professional to join our team in Dammam, KSA.

Position Summary


The Purchasing Officer is responsible for working with the suppliers, following up on deliveries, clearing ports and borders, municipality and main supplier issues for concentrate, raw material, spare parts, and Marketing Equipment Management parts. Compile information, log in, track and forward LPRs and LPOs and keep records to draw up purchase orders for materials and services. Assist and support the Workshop Manager.

Key Responsibilities & Authorities

  1. Handling Purchasing & Stores material receiving
  2. Submit GRN to accounts
  3. Attend purchasing related audit
  4. Attend meeting with suppliers
  5. Handling petty cash procurement
  6. Prepare production plan and execute production requirements
  7. Transportation request from logistic dept for delivery & material exit
  8. Send RFQ & collect quotes
  9. Purchase requisition creation
  10. Item code creation
  11. Purchase order creation
  12. Approval request & follow up with accounts
  13. Give feedback if there are any concerns regarding LPO to approval person such as price discrepancies, payment terms, etc
  14. Delivery follow up with supplier
  15. Pre-payment request from accounts
  16. Preparing price comparison for account approval reference
  17. Payment follow up with accounts
  18. Search new suppliers for procurement
  19. Supplier registration & get approval from QC
  20. Request supplier creation from accounts
  21. Update approved supplier list
  22. Filing all purchase orders along with quotes for audit purpose
  23. Negotiation with suppliers regarding delivery time, discount, payment terms, etc
  24. MTC/DO/Invoices reconcile for QC/Accounts purpose
  25. To create work order
  26. Execute other tasks as assigned by Supervisor

Accountability

  1. Ensure materials are ordered and delivered on time
  2. To issue PO and get approvals as per Corporate Authority Matrix
  3. Coordinate with request originator for clarifications from suppliers at initial stage of procurement
  4. Follow up for the delivery of purchased materials with supplier/logistics department
  5. Coordinate with QC for supplied goods and maintain approved supplier list

Skills/Experience:

  1. Experience in international and local purchase
  2. Diploma in mechanical or Mechanical Engineering or Post Graduate with 5-8 years of experience in Oil & Gas and industrial mechanical material purchase
  3. Experience and good knowledge of the market (customers, systems, providers)
  4. Knowledge of English language; working knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage

  1. Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  2. Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells
  3. Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively
  4. Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively
  5. Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments
  6. Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary
