Job Title: Public Affairs & Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Employment Type: Full-Time/Part Time/Freelance

Position Overview:

As part of our expansion into the Saudi market, our reputable NVO shipping and logistics agency is seeking a Public Affairs & Regulatory Compliance Specialist to lead interactions with Saudi governmental entities and ensure full compliance with all local regulations and laws. This position is pivotal to supporting the company’s operational growth by handling company registration, regulatory processes, HR-related tasks specific to Saudi nationals, and maintaining alignment with national policies. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between the company and governmental bodies while also managing critical compliance responsibilities to safeguard our business integrity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Government Relations:
    Serve as the primary liaison with Saudi governmental entities to ensure timely processing of permits, licenses, and approvals.
    Represent the company in discussions, forums, and events organized by government bodies if required.
    Maintain and foster strong relationships with relevant ministries, regulatory authorities, and other governmental stakeholders.
  2. Regulatory Compliance:
    Oversee all regulatory processes, including company registration, licensing, and ensuring compliance with Saudi laws.
    Monitor regulatory updates and implement necessary changes to align with new or amended laws.
    Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and Saudization requirements with concerned internal parties.
  3. HR & Administrative Oversight:
    Manage HR-related governmental tasks, including handling platforms such as Muqeem, GOSI, Mudad, Qiwa, and ZATCA.
    Support Saudization initiatives by ensuring the company meets national employment regulations.
  4. Operational Support:
    Coordinate with external consultants or vendors to streamline company initiation and regulatory processes.
    Assist in resolving compliance-related risks and challenges to ensure smooth operational continuity.
    Provide advisory support to senior management on compliance and regulatory matters.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement:
    Build a strong network within the local business community and governmental circles to support the company’s strategic objectives.
    Represent the company in local forums to strengthen its corporate presence.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Law, or a related field (preferred).

Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in government relations, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to manage governmental portals and processes, including Muqeem, GOSI, Qiwa, and similar systems.
Familiarity with company registration, Saudization requirements, and labor law compliance.

Skills:
Strong knowledge of Saudi regulatory frameworks and governmental procedures.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in Arabic (required) and English (preferred).
High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
