JOB SUMMARY

An accomplished and compassionate Consultant in Psychiatry is required to join one of the leading hospitals in Saudi Arabia. As a Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the psychiatric department and providing expert consultation and guidance on mental health diagnoses and treatments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and personalized care for patients with mental health conditions. You will also play a vital role in advancing mental health services and research initiatives.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide high-quality psychiatry care to patients in this area of medicine.
• Provide consultative services as requested.
• Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
• Actively participate in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in your area of expertise and participate in research activities.
• Participate in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
• Perform special procedures as privileged.
• Follow all hospital-related policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
• Completion of the required period of training in Psychiatry.
• (Arab, Jordanian) Board certification in the relevant medical psychiatry is typically required or equivalent.
• Membership and/or Fellowship or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required.
• A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is a must.
• Dataflow is a must.

Professional Experience

• Minimum 5 years post Board/Fellowship in psychiatry.
• A registered member of the Saudi Board Council.

Language

• Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
