Projects Planning Engineer

You as a Projects Planning Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical planning specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring plans to optimize operations and meet organizational objectives. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a knack for problem-solving, as well as full cost responsibility for the project costs specified in the portion of costs.

Your Responsibilities

1. Dispatching personnel according to the personnel planning and supporting project execution.
2. Maintaining a to-do list and evaluating/distributing assembly reports and correspondence.
3. Ensuring the construction site is supplied with necessary information, instructions, personnel, and materials.
4. Continuously checking accrued costs through budget and actual cost comparisons in SAP.
5. Evaluating progress reports and informing project managers and partners on work status and accrued costs.
6. Inspecting and initialing time sheets and discussing questionable time and expense reports with superiors.
7. Recording or processing deviation reports in SAP and monitoring compliance with regulations.
8. Inspecting cash-on-site and bank statements, assigning items to accounts.
9. Performing administrative tasks related to the construction site.
10. Conducting construction site visits for inspections and discussions with employees.
11. Handling insurance cases in consultation with the insurer and project manager.
12. Requesting commissioning personnel according to current personnel planning.
13. Monitoring accident prevention regulations and quality assurance measures.
14. Advising and supporting construction site employees in organizational and technical matters.
15. Reporting unusual occurrences to the direct superior.

Your Background

A bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field is required. Minimum 7 years of experience with GIS is preferred. Previous experience with SF6 GAS-Handling and PGHV Transmission & Sub transmission GIS Product knowledge preferred. Capability to use MS Project professionally and proficiency in both spoken and written English are required.
