Projects Planning engineer

Description

You as a Projects Planning engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical planning specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring plans to optimize operations and meet organizational objectives. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a knack for problem-solving, as well as full cost responsibility for the project costs specified in the portion of costs.

Your responsibilities

• Dispatching personnel according to the personnel planning and keeping a Project execution supporting the personnel who are assigned for the duration of the project.
• Evaluating and distributing assembly reports and ensuring that the construction site is supplied with necessary information, instructions, personnel, and material.
• Continuous checking of accrued costs through budget and actual costs comparison in SAP to identify deviations early on.
• Evaluation of progress reports and informing project managers and partners on work status and accrued costs.
• Inspection and initialing of time sheets; discussing questionable time and expense reports with the superior.
• Recording or processing deviation reports in SAP and monitoring observance of regulations for assembly and commissioning personnel.
• Inspection of cash-on-site and bank statements, assigning individual items to accounts.
• Performance of all other administrative tasks related to the construction site.
• Conducting construction site visits for inspection, problem clarification, and discussions with employees, followed by writing a trip report.
• Handling insurance cases after consultation with the insurer and project manager.
• Requesting commissioning personnel according to current personnel planning from internal or external offices.
• Monitoring observance of accident prevention regulations and quality assurance measures.
• Advising and supporting employees at the construction site in organizational and technical matters.
• Holding discussions with construction site workers during visits to headquarters and participating in project meetings.
• Immediate reporting of unusual occurrences to the direct superior.

Your background

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with GIS is preferred.
• Previous experience with SF6 GAS-Handling and PGHV Transmission & Sub transmission GIS Product knowledge preferred.
• Capability to use MS Project professionally.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
