Project Manager Responsibilities

The Project Manager is responsible for supporting the Senior Project Manager and Senior Management in the overall direction and management of assigned project contracts. This includes building and maintaining professional relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, other consultants and contractors as well as managing the overall project coordination and delivery in line with planned timelines and budgets.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Organize and supervise the work of the assigned team to ensure that all work within a specific area of the activity is carried out in an efficient manner, consistent with operating procedures and policy.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Understand and develop the Client Project Brief, work breakdown structure, packaging of delivery packages and programming of works timeline.
2. Assist The LINE Procurement team in initiating, managing and closing out Consultancy workstreams assigned to them, including preparation of RFP documentation, tender plans & evaluation criteria, technical evaluation through to appointment, day to day management, stage gate review & close out, invoicing and final sign-off.
3. Ensure that all strategies and project deliverables are comprehensively reviewed, with all design and constructability issues identified and resolved.
4. Work with the Senior Project Manager to develop project budgets, timelines and plans for the various elements of a project.
5. Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets and ensure all activities are carried out in line with approved guidelines.
6. Lead in the development of the project delivery timeline for inclusion in the contract documentation.
7. Monitor and report on the progress of all project activity within the program to Senior Project Manager and Higher Management.
8. Support or develop recommendations and action plans to resolve issues affecting the successful execution of the works.
9. Assist in assessing Change Management issues on projects, where required.
10. Participate in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices.
11. Prepare required statements and reports timely and accurately to meet department requirements, policies, and quality standards.
12. Manage and report risks to ensure strict adherence to the agreed design timelines and develop a risk mitigation schedule.
13. Implement policies, systems, and procedures for the assigned team to ensure all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled.
14. Lead in the preparation and implementation of the Project Management Plans, Design Management Plans, and Project Quality Plans.
15. Liaise with the Technical Services Department (ETSD) and Shared services personnel for delivery of design, costs, schedules and overall project support.
16. Coordinate with various teams to create a business feasibility study across financials, sales and marketing operations.
17. Coordinate with counterparts in all NEOM Sectors and Departments to ensure their specific review, comments and recommendations are incorporated and closed out.
18. Work with different stakeholders across the organization to ensure common alignment for the project.
19. Liaise with various NEOM Stakeholders and ensure that risks are communicated.
20. Ascertain that responses are deployed by internal and external stakeholders to control specific conditions and risks.
21. Ensure the adoption of new industry trends and technologies, best-in-class project management standards, innovative and sustainable design concepts.
22. Verify that financial and non-financial resources are effectively utilized and allocated.
23. Assist with the bidding process for comprehensive design, including creating scopes of work, shortlisting vendors, and conducting technical bid evaluations.
24. Conduct periodical site surveys to ensure that work is carried out to the appropriate standards.
25. Manage the development and circulation of design reports to relevant stakeholders.
26. Ascertain continuous engagement and consultation to ensure coordination between different disciplines and designs.
27. Conduct meetings with contractors and consultants to address critical contractual/commercial issues.
28. Verify that coordination between contractors and direct reports is facilitated.
29. Utilize in-depth knowledge and experience to liaise with industry leading Subject Matter Experts.
