Project Manager

You as a Project Manager will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A Specialist Professional is a recognized subject matter expert in job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience, responsibilities typically include managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager and coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower-level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and often complex.

Your Responsibilities

1. You will be leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach and overseeing project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
2. You will be defining project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans.
3. You will ensure that the project follows execution best practices and HAPG policies, effectively monitor and control project progress, regularly analyze project critical paths to ensure all critical path activities and project milestones are progressed to the plan, notify Operation Group Manager of any deviations or scheduling issues, and implement actions for optimizing resources.
4. You will issue progress reports, project updates, and productivity data on a regular basis.
5. You will prepare materials for and deliver project reviews, conduct analysis of plan versus actual project performance under the supervision of the Operation Group Manager, monitor project cost, expenses, and cash flow, and manage requests for invoicing based on project payment milestones.
6. You will identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risks, ensuring that all opportunities are identified and pursued, capturing, analyzing, and sharing lessons learned throughout the project.
7. You will ensure that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed, drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and its acknowledgement by the customer.
8. You will ensure that the project consistently applies contract and claims management in accordance with HAPG policies and contractual agreements, successfully procure all required services, materials, and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers.
9. You will act as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues, build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
10. You will monitor and maintain various project registers – e.g., project transmittal register, issues & actions register, risk and opportunities register, deliverable & quality register, documentation register, etc.
11. You will effectively communicate appropriate information to project team, customers, and other stakeholders in a timely manner to achieve desired understanding.
12. You will ensure the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies, ensure safe working procedures and practices are followed at all times including the wearing and maintenance of assigned Personal Protective Equipment as required, attendance at required health, safety and environment training, report injury, incidents, hazards and near miss events, model safe work behaviors in all aspects of work and actively identify hazards and risk controls.

Your Background

A bachelor’s degree in relevant field is required. Relevant experience and industry as project manager are preferred. Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
