Project Manager

As a Project Manager, you will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will lead the execution of projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with company policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments, supporting the organization in process improvement to continually increase the effectiveness of project execution.

Your responsibilities

1. Leading the project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones while providing performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects.
2. Defining, jointly with the Project Controls department, all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule, and risk management plans.
3. Ensuring that the project follows execution best practices and Hitachi Energy policies, effectively monitors and controls project progress and efficient resource utilization.
4. Monitoring and controlling project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow.
5. Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, and managing project risks, ensuring that all opportunities are identified and pursued.
6. Capturing, analyzing, and sharing lessons learned throughout the project.
7. Ensuring that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed, and driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and its acknowledgment by the customer.
8. Ensuring that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with HITACHI ENERGY policies and contractual agreements.
9. Coordinating with Supply Chain Management, and successfully procuring required services, materials, and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers.
10. Supporting Supply Chain Management in supplier negotiations, claims, and project changes.
11. Acting as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.
12. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicating with all stakeholders.
13. Ensuring that the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies.

Your background

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project management is preferred. Saudi nationality is required. Proficiency in both spoken & written English and Arabic language is required.
