AtkinsRealis is seeking a highly skilled Project Design Manager with experience in overseeing design processes for airport projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that the design aspects of our projects are executed to the highest standards. The responsibilities of this position include:
Plan, organize, and direct the design activities across the entire program, serving as the principal design authority in the Design or Technical Department. Provide quality oversight, enforce policies and procedures, and coordinate with various stakeholders.
Oversee and coordinate the project's design process, ensuring that all plans meet functional program requirements, budget constraints, environmental considerations, and legal standards.
Manage multiple design projects within the program, collaborating with architects, engineers, and specialist consultants from project initiation to completion.
Supervise the design process to ensure adherence to QCS, GSAS, and client standards. Work closely with design professionals and stakeholders to maintain compliance.
Provide clear and consistent direction to architects and engineers regarding project goals, standards, site specifics, schedules, and budgets.
Implement an efficient design review process to ensure that designs align with project goals, maximize value, and meet the functional needs of the client, local authorities, and environmental requirements.
Ensure that all project decisions are made promptly and that project documentation adheres to established standards.
Review and assess design changes to ensure that the project remains within budget.
Perform other related tasks as assigned.
