Job Description: You as a Project Lead Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You shall be responsible for primary engineering of Gas Insulated Switchgear.
Your responsibilities:
Providing technical support for tendering and execution of customer projects, preparation of Primary drawings & Bill of Quantities for Engineered items of Gas insulated Switchgears.
Technical lead for Substations and overall responsibility for managing and leading all engineering activities of the project.
Preparing specifications, checking supplier’s offers & coordinating with Supply Chain Management for procurement of materials, equipment, & services.
Leading and attending discussions with customers, handling site queries and taking necessary actions.
Helping apprentices, entry-level engineers, technicians, and support teams with design questions.
Reviewing deliverables before submission to client and preparation of technical documents for procurement of Current transformers and voltage transformers.
Participating in customer meetings as required, active participation in project review meetings and project contribution to reduce the lead time and cost of the offered GIS solution by developing a solution as per project technical requirements.
Adhering to the detailed project plan to meet on-time delivery, ensuring quality of deliverables as a top priority and focusing on optimized solutions with benefit to customer and HAPG.
Interfacing with civil, steel, and application engineers on systems or solutions part from Hitachi Energy / EPC companies.

Your background:
A bachelor’s degree or 3 years diploma in electrical engineering is required.
Minimum 8 -10 years of relevant experience in GIS.
Hands-on experience in 3D tools like ProE or CREO, AUTOCAD, MS Office.
Knowledge of relevant international standards such as IEC or ANSI and high voltage GIS products.
Preparation of GIS layouts for various voltage levels as part of the product team and understanding of variances and how variances can be minimized in the design.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
