Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Project Engineering Manager Offshore (Oil & Gas) to lead multidisciplinary engineering efforts across complex offshore projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring that engineering design and technical execution align with project objectives, regulatory standards, and offshore best practices. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background in offshore structures, subsea systems, or floating production units (e.g., FPSO), and strong leadership skills to manage cross-functional engineering teams through FEED, detailed design, and execution phases.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead, coordinate, and manage the complete engineering scope of offshore oil & gas projects through all stages of execution (FEED, Detailed Design, EPCI).
2. Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of engineering deliverables across multiple disciplines (structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, subsea).
3. Ensure engineering design complies with project specifications, industry codes, classification society rules (e.g., DNV, ABS), and offshore regulations.
4. Act as the main technical interface between the client, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
5. Collaborate with procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless transition and constructability of designs.
6. Manage interdisciplinary coordination and resolve technical conflicts, design clashes, or scope inconsistencies.
7. Review and approve technical deviations, change orders, and value engineering proposals.
8. Monitor engineering progress, manage schedules and resources, and report on key engineering KPIs.
9. Implement engineering quality assurance processes and conduct internal audits, design reviews, and risk assessments.
10. Mentor and lead engineering teams, ensuring high technical performance and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Structural, Marine, or related discipline). Masters degree preferred.
2. Minimum 15+ years of experience in the oil & gas sector with at least 8+ years in offshore project engineering management.
3. Proven expertise in managing engineering for offshore platforms (jackets/topsides), FPSOs, subsea systems, or offshore pipelines.
4. Solid understanding of offshore project execution, fabrication, and installation constraints.
5. Familiarity with major engineering software tools (e.g., SACS, CAESAR II, PDMS/E3D, Navisworks, AutoPIPE, ETAP).
6. In-depth knowledge of international design codes and offshore standards (API, ASME, DNVGL, IEC, NORSOK, etc.).
7. Demonstrated ability to manage engineering subcontractors, EPC interfaces, and third-party reviews.
8. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with experience in managing diverse technical teams.
9. Exposure to Middle East offshore projects and clients (e.g., Aramco Offshore, ADNOC Offshore, QP, KOC) is highly desirable.

Certifications:

1. Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent is preferred.
2. PMP or project management certification is a plus.
3. Offshore survival certification (e.g., BOSIET) is a plus if the role involves offshore travel.
