ASMO is a groundbreaking joint venture between DHL and Aramco. Inheriting DHL’s logistics excellence and Aramco’s extensive supply chain ecosystem, we are here to set a new benchmark and redefine the procurement and supply chain landscape, enabling growth.

ASMO aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its Affiliates. In the long term, all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia aim to reach the MENA region. ASMO employees daily deal with the delivery of the best logistics solutions and service the largest warehouses around the world for various industries (including e-commerce, technology, life sciences, and healthcare, energy, automotive.

Objective:

The Project Delivery Management Director will play a pivotal role in preparing warehouses to operate according to established processes and will directly contribute to ASMO's growth by ensuring customer projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, all while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

In this position, you will lead a dedicated team tasked with the successful delivery of strategic projects that meet predefined objectives related to scope, timeline, and financial performance.

The leadership of the Project Delivery Management Director is essential in fostering ASMO’s high-performance culture. This includes ensuring that all team members have the necessary skills, tools, and support to succeed. Additionally, the Director will collaborate across functions to align project outcomes with ASMO’s operational and strategic goals, promoting long-term success and operational excellence.

General Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the Department’s long-term strategic plan in alignment with the corporate strategies.
  • Ensure warehouse readiness and compliance with ASMO’s operational standards and digital tools during the preparation and implementation phases.
  • Provide expert consultation to customers and warehouse teams on ASMO’s operational, procurement, logistics, and IT systems.
  • Ensure implementation and integration of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) in line with ASMO standards.
  • Lead procurement-related readiness for warehouse operations, ensuring supply chain continuity and best-in-class logistical execution.
  • Develop annual business plans for the Department and ensure the achievement of financial and strategic objectives.
  • Report to the Chief Operational Excellence Officer on progress, opportunities, challenges, and mitigations as needed.
  • Monitor Departmental performance and implement corrective actions to meet targets.
  • Lead the delivery of projects, ensuring execution within time, scope, and quality.
  • Define KPIs and monitor project success through regular reviews and updates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategies for continuous improvement in project delivery.
  • Foster effective communication and coordination across internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Enforce quality assurance measures to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.
  • Ensure optimal allocation and utilization of project resources, including budget, equipment, and personnel.
  • Maintain full project documentation and report progress to leadership.
  • Inspire a high-performing team by providing clear strategic direction, fostering professional development, and promoting ASMO’s values and mission.
  • Identify and implement change initiatives and improvements in line with international best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with ASMO’s standards and applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Present regular and ad-hoc management reports related to the function, provide recommendations to the Chief Operational Excellence Officer on new opportunities, highlight critical issues and challenges, and provide strategic insight to ensure effective decision-making.

Qualification & Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is required.
  • Master’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, or equivalent is preferred.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, or equivalent, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English.
  • Minimum of 13 years of relevant experience, including at least 7 years in a senior leadership or managerial role.
  • Mandatory: Proven hands-on experience in warehousing operations, procurement processes, and logistics.
  • Mandatory: In-depth experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Preferred industry exposure: energy, petrochemical, chemical, or industrial sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects and deliver business-critical outcomes.
  • Proven experience in project management and successful project delivery, preferably within the energy, petrochemical, chemical, or industrial sectors.
