Bechtel and our consortium partners are excited to be hiring the completion teams which will finalize the monumental Riyadh Metro Project (RMP). The Bechtel-led consortium designed and built two rail lines forming the backbone of Riyadh’s new public transportation network. Riyadh’s population of nearly 6 million is forecast to increase to 8 million by 2030. The new metro system will meet the demands of the growing population while reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality.

Job Summary:
The Cooperative Training will be given an overview and training in various Project controls functions/verticals, with a primary coverage on the processes based on a two-month program.
Major Responsibilities:
- Students will learn various systems and procedures used by these verticals.
- Cooperative Trainees will assist in preparing weekly/monthly reports/activities, including developing and utilizing databases and various other reports.
- Shadowing and learning from experienced professionals in the field.
- Assisting with day-to-day tasks and projects.
- Participating in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills.
- Conducting research and analysis as required.
- Contributing innovative ideas and solutions to ongoing projects.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Students must be in the final stages of graduation.
- Bachelor of Science Degree program in civil engineering at an accredited college or university.
- Students should qualify to undergo the training as part of the university curriculum.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of (2.5 out of 4) or (4 out of 5).
- Excellent skills in oral and written communication.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Good communication skills; the ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable, maintaining a positive and professional attitude under stress.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Students should be from the core engineering field with a good academic background.
- Problem-solving skills and working knowledge of computers, various software applications, and standard office equipment.
