Production Operator II

Job Description:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Operator II is responsible for ensuring that production lines have raw materials for operation, managing changeovers, operating process equipment, and performing related duties. They will maintain production records and ensure that standard operating procedures are followed while complying with all regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements.

Schedule:
Monday - Thursday 6:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
Monday - Thursday 5:00 P.M. - 3:30 A.M.

Responsibilities:

1. Supply production line with cappers and tippers
2. Monitor equipment for malfunctions
3. Assist in changeovers
4. Read and follow spec sheets
5. Operate Tuber machine and all production equipment
6. Work on production lines and follow safety and quality standards
7. Fill out Quality paperwork for shift
8. Keep work area clean and orderly; remove trash and cullet
9. Attend palletizers, operate controls, and manually handle cans and pallets as required
10. Inspect pallets for correct quantities
11. Supply front room with required material (marbles, rags, etc.)
12. Dispose of cans at end of shift
13. Recycle concentrate

Requirements:

Qualifications:

1. At least 18 years of age
2. High School Graduate or GED
3. Demonstrated successful work experience
4. Good hand-eye coordination
5. Effective verbal and written English communication skills

Knowledge – Skills – Abilities:

1. Ability to work well under minimal supervision
2. Attention to detail and organizational skills
3. Ability to interact well with others
4. Ability to operate basic hand tools

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing plant environment
2. Ability to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work such as climbing, lifting objects up to 50 lbs, and pushing/pulling objects
3. Ability to stand for long periods
4. Able to work in extreme temperatures

This position is for day shift, with hours from Monday - Thursday 6:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
