About the role

Location - Jeddah, KSA
Reporting to - Factory Manager

The role will focus on an overall responsibility for all production and interface with all functions at the site. It will be responsible for delivering production commitments within the quality specifications and cost standards and will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

  1. Achieve the projected production volumes in line with the annual budget plan.
  2. Monitor and control direct heads (like manpower cost, overtime, and casual labor) and consumables/chemicals on shop floor.
  3. Monitor the efficiency of lines as per OEE methodology, working out the loss elimination through analysis and review with Production team.
  4. Review ATP on a daily basis with the team & meet the KPI target.
  5. Adjust process capabilities in order to meet marketing development and company business objectives.
  6. Implement Continuous Improvement tools of problem solving for boosting efficiency, productivity and waste reduction - on shop-floor level as well as at staff level.
  7. Ensure that safety problems are tackled and solved by teams in an effective manner.
  8. Ensure that hygiene standards/requirements are strictly adhered to at shop-floor level for production lines, worker facilities, and personal hygiene.
  9. Communicate the Quality Performance measures on a monthly basis to the production teams, and initiate the action plans for improvements.
  10. Share customer feedback with the operators to ensure the focus remains on delivering quality product.
  11. Understand your staff development needs and ensure appropriate training plans are in place in conjunction with the HR department.
  12. Encourage improvement initiatives among the team.

Qualifications and skills

  1. Minimum Degree in Food Technologist/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline.
  2. Minimum of 5 years working experience in a leadership capacity in a food manufacturing industry.
  3. SAP Background is a must.
  4. Must have people management experience in a direct capacity - handling performance management, training, and development of employees.
  5. Must have cost management experience.
  6. Ability to multi-task and delegate roles.
  7. Familiarity with GMP and HACCP, quality, and hygiene standards.
  8. MS Office and work systems experience essential.
  9. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  10. Should be able to articulately speak of ideas in both individual and group situations and organize/express these clearly.
  11. Good organizational skills and a strong ability to follow procedure.
