Position: Product Application Engineer - 0094KA

Job Description:

1. Assist the Sales force by providing high-level product expertise and knowledge of Automation products (Variable speed drives, PLCs, and HMIs) to generate business growth in the industry market.
2. Promote our automation products towards the industry market and contribute to increasing Schneider Electric market share.
3. Support customers in developing PLC and HMI applications by mastering Drives applications and product configuration.
4. Provide technical support to all SE channel partners.

Responsibilities:

1. Understand the Variable Speed Drives, PLCs & HMIs Market Application, and Customer Needs to provide support on application development and advice on optimized solutions for the technical issues and problems of the client.
2. Train customers, access channels, and Sales teams on products and applications.
3. Work closely with the Activity Manager & support with the development of the relevant Demos required.
4. Prescribe and educate customers on application advantages.
5. Identify projects and consult on proper market application.
6. Assist with quoting, designs, system start-up, hardware and software training, and troubleshooting.
7. Help develop and manage contracts and projects and coordinate between Access channel and customers.
8. Develop technical and commercial argumentation for salespeople.
9. Consistently update literature and promotional tools for industry customers.
10. Report monthly about activities to the Marketing Manager for the Industry Market.
11. Answer all technical needs of customers.
12. Maintain professional and jovial relationships with customers.

Qualifications:

• Electrical or Electronic Engineering Degree.
• 5-10 years hands-on experience in Variable Speed Drives, PLCs, and HMIs application development.
• A demonstrable track record of success in a similar job role, with relevance to product promotion and support for market or customer requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of automation systems and their application within customer organizations.
• Working electrical knowledge and experience with Schneider Electric products is a big plus.
• Proven work experience as a support engineer in the automation market or similar role.
• Good understanding of automation products (controllers, touchscreens, variable speed drives, etc.).
