Duties & Responsibilities (shall include but not be limited to):
Develops appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer department satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.
Participate in the development of all departments annual demand forecasts and identify implications of such forecasts.
Develop category management strategies for drilling and completions categories and sub-categories, considering both the internal requirements and supply market conditions.
Develop category workbooks and procurement strategies to be implemented over the next 3 years and present these strategies to key stakeholders and management.
Ensure the category strategies comply with legal requirements and company policies, value assurance frameworks and business principles.
Prioritize strategic sourcing activities for the categories/sub-categories and lead the execution of these activities (implementing the category strategies), including supply market engagement, preparation of RFP/RFX, evaluation of responses, negotiations, and development of strategic agreements.
Develop segmented supplier relationship engagement models for suppliers, monitor supplier/category performance, and engage with suppliers to improve performance.
Build and maintain effective relationships with major contractors and suppliers, leveraging such relationships with relevant markets to provide current and insightful market intelligence.
Coordinate with business users, technical proponents, and other Supply Chain functions to ensure that the maximum value is obtained from the categories.
Ensure alignment of category strategies at the corporate level and a unified approach to market for strategic categories while utilizing the Sr. Manager extensive knowledge and experience to ensure that ARO implements a cost-efficient and effective category management function.
Utilize spend data to categorize and develop category strategies for the mid-range commodities assigned, which includes confirming user requirements, understanding the supply markets for the category, developing, and executing sourcing strategy (RFP, RFI etc.).
Oversee and master database of qualified suppliers per category by working with Operations in determining supplier value-added capabilities.
Learn the suppliers and the markets impacting the suppliers, learns the internal and external cost and value drivers.
Leads the sourcing team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Directs and coordinates strategic sourcing functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction.
Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and services needed to meet the changing levels of operation demand.
Responsible to routinely report on department KPIs along with appropriate analysis and countermeasures where necessary.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operation or Supply Chain Management.
Experience in managing procurement programs for projects.
Has the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges.
Ability to conduct detailed procedures in a time constrained environment.
Extensive knowledge and experience in supervising tendering and contracts, preparation, and administration of materials.
Experience on supervising large-scale oil/gas, drilling, petrochemicals projects, operations, and services.
