Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to lead and oversee our procurement operations within the Fit-out sector. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring cost efficiency, and streamlining procurement processes to align with business objectives. This role requires strong leadership skills, market expertise, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy & Process Optimization:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive cost efficiency, quality assurance, and timely delivery.
- Analyze market trends and supplier landscapes to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement cycle, from sourcing and vendor selection to contract negotiation and order fulfillment.
- Ensure procurement processes align with company policies, project requirements, and industry best practices.
Supplier & Vendor Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best possible deals while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct regular performance assessments of suppliers and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure supplier compliance with contractual obligations, legal requirements, and ethical sourcing policies.
Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Develop procurement budgets and manage expenditures to align with financial objectives.
- Work closely with finance and project teams to forecast procurement needs and control costs.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product quality and delivery timelines.
Project Coordination & Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and production teams to ensure procurement aligns with project schedules.
- Address material shortages, delivery delays, and other procurement challenges proactively.
- Provide technical insights on material selection, procurement alternatives, and industry-specific requirements.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, local regulations, and international trade standards.
- Mitigate risks related to supplier reliability, price fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier agreements for audit and compliance purposes.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor the procurement team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide training and support to procurement staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Evaluate team performance and implement strategies for skill enhancement and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role, preferably within the Fit-out/Joinery industry.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of procurement software, ERP systems, and industry-specific sourcing practices.
- Expertise in contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost control strategies.
- Understanding of fit-out/joinery materials, hardware, and supply chain logistics is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), or similar qualifications.
- Experience in international procurement and logistics management.
- Familiarity with import/export regulations and vendor compliance requirements.
