WSP Middle East is looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer with a proven track record of leading design projects in the Building Services Engineering space to join us in Riyadh, KSA.
This role involves managing and overseeing complex electrical design projects, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance.
Your new role, what's involved:
- Develop and implement Electrical Building Services Engineering strategies and conduct feasibility studies for a variety of projects throughout the Middle East.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality Building Services Engineering designs by adopting a hands-on, technically focused approach.
- Create innovative technical solutions for complex problems that require creativity and ingenuity.
- Act as a key contact for projects, engaging directly with clients and presenting to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Perform project reviews and checks in accordance with Quality Assurance (QA) procedures.
- Integrate Health & Safety practices into all work processes in alignment with company policies.
- Manage resource allocation effectively across the team and projects, including coordinating with Complimentary Resource Centers (CRCs) to enhance communication and design processes.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is a plus.
- Over 12 years of post-qualification experience in electrical design, with a diverse portfolio of large-scale projects.
- Extensive experience in developing concepts, schematic, and detailed designs for electrical services in varied projects.
- Proficient in Revit and Amtech for analytical and design tasks.
- Well-versed in local authority regulations and international standards.
- Demonstrates exceptional project management and leadership skills.
- Fosters collaboration within project teams and the broader building services department.
- Leads MEP teams on small-scale projects and independently manages resources, commercial aspects, and technical delivery.
- Possesses a general understanding of all MEP systems for effective coordination with architects and other sub-consultants.
