Poultry Processing Plant Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Manage the maintenance operations of the processing plant.
• Guide the team of technicians in adhering to the maintenance plan prepared by the Deputy Manager – Maintenance.
• Coordinate with Foreman in assigning maintenance work to the technicians in their assigned shifts.
• Ensure minimal downtime for the equipment in PPP.
• Inform Manager – Maintenance if assistance is required from vendors for repair/maintenance.
• Assist maintenance team in performing temporary repair work to keep the equipment in running condition, till the maintenance team of the equipment vendor arrives.
• Assist the team of Technicians in maintenance work as and when required.
• Recommend to Manager – Maintenance on requirement of spares and consumables for the PPP equipment.
• Coordinate with Manager – Maintenance for maintaining minimum stock level of spares required for the smooth functioning of the system.
• Comply with the safety policies and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain necessary documentation for the Processing section.
• Periodically review the performance of the technicians and recommend relevant training.

Qualifications

Education: Diploma in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical/Electrical.

Experience: 5-7 years of experience in a Poultry Processing Plant equipment maintenance or similar role.

• Technical knowledge of processing plant equipment & systems.
• Knowledge of safety norms.

Generic Skills

• Working ability with English/Arabic.
• Knowledge in ERP systems (SAP is a plus).
