WSP is looking for a Planning Engineer for an Entertainment and Tourism Mega Project based in the Southwest of Riyadh.
Your new role, what's involved
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules outlining all tasks, milestones, and dependencies.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Work closely with project teams to identify resource requirements for each project phase.
- Allocate resources efficiently to ensure optimal project performance.
- Conduct critical path analysis to identify key project activities and potential bottlenecks.
- Propose solutions to mitigate schedule risks and delays.
- Implement tracking mechanisms to monitor the progress of project activities.
- Regularly update project schedules based on actual progress and adjust timelines as needed.
- Identify potential risks to project schedules and develop contingency plans.
- Collaborate with project teams to implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and distribute regular project schedule reports to project stakeholders.
- Communicate schedule status, variances, and potential issues to the project team.
- Collaborate with various project teams, including engineering, construction, and environmental, to ensure seamless coordination of activities.
- Participate in project meetings to provide insights into schedule-related matters.
- Evaluate and improve planning and scheduling processes to enhance overall project efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate innovative scheduling techniques.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Planning & Schedule Engineer in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proficient in project management software, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with environmental and sustainability projects is advantageous.
