Job Description:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules for structural steel and pressure vessel fabrication projects.
2. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
3. Monitor project progress based on key milestones and performance indicators (KPIs), identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions.
4. Prepare detailed progress reports and presentations for management and clients.
5. Establishing Work Breakdown structure (WBS) & detailed schedules using CPM/PERT as applicable.
6. Collect data and produce an initial analysis on manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations.
7. Analyse project specifications and resource requirements to optimize project plans.
8. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
9. Utilize project management software and tools for effective planning and scheduling.
10. Participate in project meetings and provide insights on schedule impacts and risk mitigation.
11. Assist in preparing EOTs and project variations with time and cost impact.
12. Support the project reporting process as required.

Desired Candidate Profile:

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Preferable Discipline - Civil/ Mechanical).
2. Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in the fabrication industry, preferably with a focus on Pressure vessel / Structural Steel / Static Equipment Fabrication Process.
3. Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools to efficiently create, manage, and update project schedules.
4. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
5. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Familiar with earned value, scope control, and change management concepts, principles, and methodologies.
7. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in fabrication and construction.
