Job description

Are you a seasoned pastry chef with a passion for creating exquisite pastries, bread, and croissants? Do you have 10 years of hands-on experience, coupled with classical training that sets you apart in the culinary world?

If so, we want you to join our dynamic team as a Pastry Chef at Sculpture Cafe.

As an integral member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Bread & Croissant Specialization: Showcase your expertise by leading the preparation and production of high-quality bread and croissants, ensuring they meet our exacting standards for taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Team Management: Demonstrate your leadership skills by effectively managing a pastry team. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, task delegation, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Prioritize the health and safety of our team and customers by ensuring strict adherence to all safety protocols, sanitation practices, and hygiene standards in the pastry department.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of quality in all pastry offerings. Conduct regular inspections and tastings to guarantee consistency and excellence in every product.
  • Inventory Management: Take charge of inventory control, tracking, and ordering to maintain optimal stock levels. Minimize waste and maximize efficiency to contribute to the overall success of the pastry department.
  • Recipe Adherence: Ensure all pastry recipes are meticulously followed, and suggest improvements when necessary to elevate the quality and uniqueness of our offerings.
  • Daily Orders Coordination: Efficiently manage the daily orders, coordinating with other departments to meet demand while maintaining the highest standards of freshness and taste.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a pastry chef, with a strong foundation in classical training.
  • Proven expertise in all sections of the pastry department, with a specialization in bread and croissant preparation.
  • Leadership skills to effectively manage and inspire a team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations in a culinary setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory, quality assurance, and daily orders effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with other departments and maintain a collaborative work environment.
