We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team in Jeddah. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of sweet and savory pastries, desserts, and breads. Your main duties will include creating new recipes, managing inventory and supplies, training other kitchen staff, and ensuring high quality standards are met.
To be successful in this role, you should have prior experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role. You must have excellent knowledge of various pastry techniques and ingredients, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are also essential.
Responsibilities:
Create new pastry recipes that meet our customers' tastes and preferences
Prepare various types of pastries including cakes, cookies, tarts, and breads
Decorate pastries using various techniques such as piping, glazing, and sculpting
Manage inventory and ordering of supplies to maintain stock levels
Train other kitchen staff on pastry preparation techniques
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the pastry department
Ensure all pastries meet high quality standards before serving to customers
Collaborate with other chefs to create new menu items that incorporate pastries
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role
Excellent knowledge of various pastry techniques and ingredients
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Creative mindset with the ability to come up with new ideas for pastry recipes
Team player with good communication skills
Degree or diploma in culinary arts or relevant field is preferred
