Job Description Summary
The Outpatient Nurse 2 provides direct patient care in the assigned nursing unit and is responsible for implementing nursing processes which includes but is not limited to ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, maintaining patient safety and working under moderate supervision in order to deliver efficient and effective nursing care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

Operational Roles & Responsibilities

1. Provide various nursing care services as they are assigned including patient management
2. Assist in routine clinical tasks and ensure patient safety throughout the process
3. Collaborate with physicians and clinicians to support smooth operations within the unit
4. Monitor patient progress and report concerns to senior staff
5. Achieve and/or maintain the mandated set of activities for level 2 which is a minimum total of 15 points in at least three categories within each 12-month cycle as outlined in the Clinical Advancement Program
6. Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care from admission through discharge specific to the patient's age
7. Provide nursing care and patient/family education consistent with the plan of care and needs of the patients with respect for the patients' privacy, dignity, personal preference, and culture demonstrating acceptance, caring, and empathy utilizing appropriate resources when applicable
8. Precept new hires and trainees during the probation training period and participate in making recommendations regarding progress and training needs
9. Respond promptly and effectively to emergency and life-saving situations by utilizing clinical skills, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes
10. Perform a wide range of nursing procedures with attention to accuracy, patient safety, and comfort while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment for the patient, family, visitors, and staff

Minimum Education Required
International Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); or actively pursuing BSN with formal academic transcript submission

Professional Certifications Required
Current licensure as a professional registered nurse
Basic Life Support (BLS)

Years of Experience
Minimum 2 years of Nursing Experience including 1 year in Outpatient Care or related field.

Languages
English: Fully Proficient; Arabic: Preferred
