The opportunity

You as an Operations Planning Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

How you’ll make an impact

During the preparation phase of a project, the IPM is responsible for the following activities:

1. Creation of PT for the PM and process documentation.
2. Checking the PT and adapting to the actual scope of supply upon receipt of the order.
3. Assembly planning by creating a detailed sequence program with all project-relevant activities and personnel planning.
4. Creation of the scheduling in consultation with the customer and PM.
5. Determination of the required assembly tools in cooperation with the responsible assembly personnel.
6. Timely procurement and shipping of required assembly consumables and construction site infrastructure.
7. Regulation of responsibilities and information paths between project participants and the construction site.
8. Determination of the delivery sequences of the material through cooperation with sales and handling offices.
9. Supporting project personnel and continuous checking of accrued costs through budget comparisons in SAP.
10. Evaluation of progress reports and informing project managers on the status of work and accrued costs.
11. Inspection and initiation of time sheets and discussion of questionable time and expense reports.
12. Recording or processing of deviation reports in SAP.
13. Monitoring observance of quality assurance measures.
14. Advising and supporting employees at the construction site in organizational and technical matters.
15. Participation in project meetings and reporting of unusual occurrences to the direct superior.

Your background

A bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or high diploma. Minimum 5+ years of working experience with GIS preferred. Experience with SF6 GAS-Handling. HE-CH GIS Product knowledge preferred. Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
