Operations Planning Engineer
The opportunity
You as an Operations Planning Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
How you’ll make an impact
During the preparation phase of a project, the IPM is responsible for the following activities: creation of PT for the PM, process documentation, checking the PT and adaptation to the actual scope of supply upon receipt of the order. Assembly planning by creating a detailed sequence program with all project-relevant activities and personnel planning through determining the personnel requirement and initiating the reservations in own department as well as with sub suppliers. Creation of the scheduling in consultation with the customer and PM and determination of the required assembly tools in cooperation with the responsible assembly personnel and timely procurement and shipping to the construction site. Regulation of the responsibilities, information paths and working relationships between the project participants and the construction site (including customer, consultant, representative) in the form of organizational and flow charts or, if necessary, construction site regulations. Determination of the delivery sequences of the material through cooperation with the sales and handling offices of the unit’s project execution. Supporting the personnel who are assigned for the duration of the project and continuous checking of the accrued costs through a comparison of budget and actual costs in SAP to identify deviations early on and initiate corresponding measures. Evaluation of the progress reports and informing the project managers and any further partners on the status of the work, progress, and accrued costs. Inspection and initiating of the time sheets. Questionable time and expense reports are to be discussed with the superior. Recording or processing of deviation reports in SAP and monitoring the observance of the regulations for assembly and commissioning personnel. Monitoring or observance of the valid quality assurance measures and advising and supporting the employees at the construction site in organizational and technical matters, holding discussions with construction site workers when they visit the headquarters and participation in project meetings as a member of the project organization and immediate reporting of unusual occurrences to the direct superior. Your background
A bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or high diploma. Minimum 5+ Years of working experience with GIS preferred. Experience with SF6 GAS-Handling. HE-CH GIS Product knowledge preferred. Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
