Operations Manager (Warehouse)

Job Purpose:

Logistics managers are responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory, transportation, and supply chain processes.

Operational:

• Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
• Manage the warehouses and the distribution.
• Responsibilities include re-organizing warehousing & inventory management systems at each location and physical distribution facility layout.
• Implement logistics technology and successful organizational development for all employees.
• Daily operations will include leading cross-functional departmental teams for continuous improvements and monthly P&L responsibility.
• A positive, productive work environment encourages individual contributions.
• Distribution centers include system re-engineering, product scanning at receiving, conveyor, and pick-to-light systems.
• Operating mechanical and IT systems.
• Liaising with customers and other departments.
• Training, supervising, and appraising staff.
• Maintaining statistical and financial records.
• Ensuring that quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met.
• Administering stock control.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Performs other duties and takes on responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

BS degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.

7 years in warehouse management procedures and best practices and at least three years in a managerial position, preferably in the healthcare industry.
