Overview:

The Operations Manager will oversee and ensure smooth functioning of all operational activities at the Dammam Branch. This role involves leading multiple departments, setting benchmarks, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. Additionally, the Operations Manager will act as Assistant Branch Manager when required, supporting overall branch management and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Leadership:
    Oversee daily operations across multiple departments, including:
    • Store Operations
    • Branch Loading
    • Quality Control
    • Logistics Department
    • Workshop Management
    • Packing Line
    • Safety and Security Management
  2. Store Operations and Branch Loading:
    Oversee store operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and workflow optimization.
    Coordinate and supervise staff to maintain smooth daily operations.
    Manage branch loading activities for timely and accurate transfers of goods.
    Ensure compliance with operational policies and quality standards.
    Monitor and address any logistical challenges in inter-branch transfers.
    Optimize resources to enhance productivity and minimize operational delays.
  3. Quality Assurance:
    Monitor quality control measures to ensure product standards align with company guidelines.
    Address quality concerns promptly and implement corrective actions.
  4. Logistics and Packing Line Oversight:
    Ensure seamless coordination within the logistics department for timely deliveries and dispatches.
    Oversee the packing line to maintain efficiency and reduce wastage.
  5. Workshop Management:
    Supervise the workshop operations to ensure timely maintenance and repair of equipment.
    Implement best practices to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime.
  6. Safety and Security:
    Ensure compliance with general and food safety standards across all operations.
    Maintain high levels of security within the branch premises.
    Develop and implement safety protocols to minimize risks and hazards.
  7. Team Management:
    Lead, guide, and mentor department heads and their respective teams to achieve operational excellence.
    Foster a collaborative work environment to improve productivity and morale.
    Conduct performance evaluations and provide actionable feedback.
  8. Assistant Branch Manager Role (as needed):
    Support the Branch Manager in overall branch management during their absence or as required.
    Assist in strategic planning and decision-making to drive branch performance.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the fresh produce or FMCG sector.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Knowledge of safety, quality control, and logistics management principles.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in using ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
