Job Description:
The Offshore Program Director should have vast and strong experience in the offshore industry and possess construction management experience on mega projects. This role coordinates with other functional managers to ensure correct implementation of the project construction specifications and standards.
The ideal candidate must possess thorough knowledge of engineering design development, construction practices, economic principles, international codes, standards, procedures, and specifications. The Program Director has overall responsibility for program management, including project cost, schedule, safety, and quality.
Role Responsibilities:
- Assures safe project execution.
- Delivers client satisfaction and meets contractual requirements.
- Accountable for project cost performance and accounts receivable.
- Serves as the primary point of contact between the client and the company.
- Ensures project execution is in accordance with policies, procedures, and systems.
- Manages and coordinates project leadership personnel.
- Supports business development and proposals for new offshore opportunities.
- Negotiates changes with the client.
- Responsible for all contracts within their program of works.
- Uses and shares best practices among the PMs.
- Plans project execution and revises the plan as necessary, ensuring adherence to the plan.
- Keeps the client and company advised of project status.
- Leads the project management team and is responsible for the successful completion of the project.
- Abides by company business ethics.
- Ensures project delivery aligns with quality management systems.
- Forecasts workload ensuring deployment of sufficient resources, requiring close cooperation with the Engineering Manager.
- Resolves inter-project conflicts.
- Effectively manages all personnel assigned to offshore contracts.
- Appraises direct reports on a regular basis.
- Maintains and promotes company values.
- Promotes the capturing and implementation of lessons learned on projects.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in the management of engineering and procurement projects.
- Strong knowledge of offshore projects, with experience in detailed design, ideally a mix of greenfield and brownfield experience. Fabrication/construction experience is beneficial.
- Strong financial and commercial understanding of projects.
- Vast and relevant experience is required.

Qualifications:
- A degree in Engineering is required.
