NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) is on a mission to make a carbon-free, climate-safe future a reality. We are building the world's largest plant to produce green ammonia at scale, providing humankind with a cost-efficient solution that will accelerate the worldwide green hydrogen economy. Located in NEOM and supporting Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, NGHC will be integrating up to 4GW of onshore solar and wind energy to supply up to 650 tons of green ammonia per day for transportation globally. Operations will go onstream in 2026. NGHC brings together the technology, operational efficiency and know-how of ACWA Power, Air Products and NEOM in a joint-venture partnership with over 80 years of combined experience in the fields of hydrogen, energy, renewables and global networks.

POSITION SUMMARY
Wind Field Operators shall be responsible for performing all day-to-day field operational activities of 1.7 GW windfarm at Neom Green Hydrogen Plant. The core objective shall be to ensure smooth and efficient operation, keeping into account the electricity requirements of green hydrogen-based ammonia production facility sited in NEOM, while always prioritizing the safety of personnel and asset.
NATURE & SCOPE
The main functions of this position are:
- Perform field operations in line with O&M Manual, standard operating procedures and OEM Recommendations.
- Monitor and report the plant parameters in accordance with the log sheets.
- Carry out daily electrical maintenance work and routine preventative electrical maintenance work according to set schedule and maintenance procedures.
- Support in fault data analysis and assessment of data from Condition Monitoring System.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review start-up procedures, energization & de-energization sequence and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in system start-up testing, performance testing and coordination with GHE for dispatch.
- Perform safe and efficient operations in line with O&M Manual, SOPs, OEM Recommendations while adhering to integrated control philosophy of NGHP.
- Responsible to support in generating the preliminary incident report for any plant incident within the stipulated time.
- Record and maintain the system fault/incident log properly and verify corrective action performed by maintenance team against each incident either through CMMS system or manually.
- Monitor parameters and enter periodic readings in log sheets.
- Ensure proper handover of the shift to reliever with details of all activities related to shift / ongoing.
- Responsible to respond on time for any emergency callout requirements.
- Familiar with plant maintenance philosophy to support the O&M practices wherever required.
- Perform, coordinate and ensure PTW / LOTO implementation as per the procedure for maintenance.
- Restoration and normalization of the system after completion / cancellation of work permit.
- Participate actively in emergency response plan as per approved ERP.
- Participate / assist in preparing task risk assessment and job safety analysis.
- Initiate changes in operating philosophy and procedures to ensure safer and efficient operations.
- Strictly follow the Change Management procedure and perform the roles as assigned under the procedure.
- Support in interpreting data from Condition Monitoring System and fault-data analytics, where possible.
- Ensure strict compliance with environmental & social management system and communication to HSE and Operation Management for any near-misses, incidents, accidents and non-conformance reporting.
- Participate in classroom / on-job / refresher trainings.
- Always ensure the proper use of PPE and other safety equipment, as provided in safety manual.
- Coordinate activities with other departments and staff as needed.
- Perform other operational duties as assigned.
SKILLS / TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AREAS:
- Hands-on in field operations of Wind Turbines, HV / MV Substation equipment.
- Basic understanding and concept of maintenance activities of windfarm.
- Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management system principles.
- Knowledge of managing HSE emergencies.
- Good decision making, analytical and technical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills as well as a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
- Good organization, prioritization, and time management skills to monitor and handle complex tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Associates Diploma in Electrical with 3+ years experience in maintenance of utility-scale wind power plants with minimum size of 50 MW.
- High School with experience with 5+ years experience in maintenance of utility-scale wind power plants with minimum size of 50 MW.
DESIRED EDUCATION and/or QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Associates Diploma in Electrical with 5+ years experience in maintenance of utility-scale wind power plants with minimum size of 50 MW.
- High School with experience with 7+ years experience in maintenance of utility-scale wind power plants with minimum size of 50 MW.
- 3+ years experience in development / construction of utility-scale wind power plants with minimum size of 50 MW.
