Job description

Lithe Transformation is partnering with a global IT consultancy to support their operations in Abha, Saudi Arabia. This position will be employed by Lithe directly, and your opportunity to join a growing and caring UK operation. Please see remuneration details at the bottom of this notice.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Infrastructure Setup: Design, configure, and optimize IT infrastructure capable of supporting advanced economic modeling. This includes setting up high-performance servers, configuring databases, and ensuring scalability.
  2. Data Integration: Establish secure data pipelines to integrate datasets from internal end-user sources, ensuring data quality and compliance with governance standards.
  3. System Security and Maintenance: Implement cybersecurity measures, including access controls, firewalls, and data encryption, in line with Saudi national standards. Perform regular system maintenance and troubleshooting.
  4. Testing and Optimization: Conduct performance testing to ensure the infrastructure can handle large data loads and dynamic modeling. Optimize resource usage for efficient, reliable operations.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in IT infrastructure setup, with experience supporting data-intensive or modeling environments.
  • Skills: Expertise in server setup and administration, database management, data integration, and cybersecurity protocols.
  • Preferred Certifications: Relevant certifications in IT systems, cybersecurity, or data management (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, AWS).
  • Location: Availability for on-site work in Abha, with flexibility for travel as required.

Background

  1. Technical Expertise with Real-World Applications: They should have hands-on experience in IT infrastructure setup and maintenance, ideally within environments that handle complex data or have high performance requirements.
  2. Experience in Client-Facing Roles: Experience working in a consultancy or client-driven role is highly beneficial, as they’ll need to interact directly with clients, understand their needs, and offer tailored solutions.
  3. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with public sector or data-heavy industries (e.g., government, finance, economic research) is an advantage, as it would help them understand the client’s context and requirements better.
  4. Relevant Certifications: Certifications in IT systems, cybersecurity, or network infrastructure (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus and show a commitment to professional development.
  5. Previous Consulting Experience (Ideal but Not Essential): If possible, a background working with or in consulting firms would mean they understand the pace, client expectations, and need for flexibility that consulting work often requires.

The remuneration for this position will be a salary range of £80k-£100k. Initially, Lithe will cover your travel and accommodation expenses, but you will be paying UK taxes. After a period, you will be expected to relocate to KSA permanently (if you're not already permanently relocated), where your salary will be tax-free, but you will be expected to cover your own accommodation costs. Lithe will, however, pay for 1 return flight to the UK per quarter, for a 1 week stay.
