About the Role
As Quality Inspector, you will monitor manufacturing operations and ensure products and services are meeting the quality assurance program, customer requirements, engineering specifications, and appropriate industry/regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare scan plan and technique sheet for NDT methods.
- Review NDE requirements and perform the following activities independently: MPI (weldment, raw material, machined parts), LPT (weldment, raw material, machined parts), UT (weldment, raw material, machined parts), RT (weldment), Clad Thickness measurement.
- Verify control identification and traceability mark of products during all stages of production and record.
- Identify, label, and generate quality reports as well as non-conformance reports for all defective materials.
- Interface and coordinate with customer representatives for material requiring TPI hold point inspection.
- Perform NDT inspections for products and services done at source, ensuring suppliers perform as per engineering specifications and comply with quality assurance procedures.
- Participate in HSE programs and proactively involve in improving HSE culture on site.
- Perform other quality-related activities assigned by the Quality Control Supervisor.
- Ensure products and services (in-house or procured) comply with engineering specifications, drawings, Engineering Bill Of Materials (BOM), and customer requirements.
- Complete jobs within standard hours provided in MOs and actively involve in SGIA to reduce cycle time.
- Maintain all tools & fixtures, hand tools, and keep the work area clean and tidy. Record all the process sheets as required.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a diploma in mechanical engineering or a technical discipline preferred.
- Hold ISO 9712 NDT level II in MT, PT, and UT, and RI experience.
- Possess company-issued NDT level II as per SNT-TC 1A, subject to demonstrated skills.
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the oil field environment or heavy machine manufacturing facilities.
- Be able to work with people of various social, cultural, and religious backgrounds.
- Exhibit good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferably have ASME, API, and ASTM knowledge.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Tools.
- Be required to work shifts and irregular hours.
Rotation: 6 days on / 3 days off
Working Hours Per Day: 12, OT calculated from the 10th hour onwards.
