As the National Road Logistics Manager, you will lead the implementation of our Road Logistics strategy in alignment with the 2026 Roadmap. With full P&L responsibility, you will focus on operational excellence, business growth, and adopting innovative technologies like RoadLog and the Advanced Customer Visibility System to drive sustainable success.
Your Role
The National Road Logistics Manager is responsible for implementing the Road Logistics strategy in line with the National/Corporate Roadmap 2026. Responsibilities include operational and disciplinary responsibility, leadership, and day-to-day management for the smooth running of the department, along with overall P&L responsibility with the goal of reaching the target. Business development of the road logistics product is also required, with a focus on building a sustainable supplier base and implementing new technologies (RoadLog and the Advanced Customer Visibility System) to drive bottom-line growth.
Your Responsibilities
- Promote strong customer relationships, acquire new business, develop the existing client base, and lead account management.
- Drive the business development process, including tender analysis, solution design, costing, and service offerings.
- Launch a robust carrier management program to support business growth.
- Implement advanced customer and carrier visibility tools, leveraging technology for a competitive edge and superior customer experience.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities, including potential acquisitions, new services, and partnerships.
- Continuously improve Road Logistics operations through standardized processes, IT applications, and operational control systems (KPIs).
- Oversee the department’s operational activities, including staffing, performance evaluations, and achieving local goals.
- Actively participate in the GCC+ Logistics Management team.
- Foster cross-country collaboration and drive joint business development initiatives.
- Develop and monitor the annual budget, taking corrective action in case of deviations.
- Build and lead the Road Logistics department. Recruit, evaluate, and review staff performance.
- Promote talent development through tailored education and training.
- Conduct PPRs, offering coaching and career development with HR support.
Your Skills and Experiences
- 7+ years of experience in Road Logistics, specifically in the KSA and Bahrain markets, preferably within a 3PL or competitive services environment.
- Senior-level business development experience within logistics or service-based industries.
- Proven leadership in both direct and indirect reporting structures (line or project management).
- Strong, competent leader with excellent teamwork skills.
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts at both internal and external board levels.
- Strategic vision with the ability to see the 'big picture,' understand complex processes, and identify new business opportunities.
- Creative thinker who challenges traditional approaches and fosters change.
- In-depth knowledge of the KSA Road Logistics market.
- Fluent in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
