Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. In close collaboration with the Regional Communication and Knowledge Management Officer in RNE and Regional Communications Network coordinators, the incumbent will seek to fulfill the following tasks:
2. Work closely with the FAO-NRM team, NCVC, and other project stakeholders to identify communication needs and develop targeted communication materials.
3. Collaborate with the FAO-NRM team and media outlets to develop and implement a comprehensive communication and outreach plan with clear objectives aimed at enhancing public awareness of environmental sustainability and natural resource management.
4. Craft concise, clear, and action-oriented key messages and select appropriate communication channels, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding across all platforms.
5. Collaborate with graphic designers, videographers, and content creators to produce visually engaging materials such as infographics, videos, and animations.
6. Identify key target audiences, establish a reliable network of environmental-related associations and NGOs for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
7. Create and disseminate engaging content through various channels, including websites, social media, press releases, newsletters, and reports, regularly updating this content to keep it relevant.
8. Coordinate with the National Centre for Vegetation Cover and Combating Desertification (NCVC) to ensure alignment of communication activities and tailor content to different audience segments.

Minimum Requirements:

1. University degree in Communication, Journalism, or a related field.
2. At least five years of relevant experience in corporate communications, public information, journalism, or international relations. Experience in the food security sector is an asset.
3. Working knowledge (level C) of the Arabic language and limited knowledge (level B) of English.
4. National of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
