MWD Service Engineer

Job Summary

Under the direction of the MWD Supervisor, this role will primarily be involved in assembly, maintenance, testing and disassembly, service, and refurbish of NOV MWD Downhole tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILTY & AUTHORITY:

1. Safely dismantle, clean, inspect, assemble, repair, test and paint downhole tools per NOV standards of quality and safety.
2. Prepares MWD tools and kit before loading them out to the field, ensures all tools and necessary parts are available in the kit.
3. Carry out inventory check of MWD kits after receiving them from the field.
4. Ensure that all serviced tools are in acceptable working order and maintained/serviced per NOV procedures.
5. Complete all necessary documentation and data entry during service process.
6. Operate crane and forklift to load/unload parts/materials if required.
7. Perform equipment inspections and calibration as per required procedures.
8. Maintain 5S / housekeeping of work area.
9. Communicate to Management any issues with equipment, tools, inspections, and HSE concerns.
10. Other duties as assigned.

BEHAVIORAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1. Engineering degree (electrical).
2. 2-3 years of experience.
3. Previous experience in servicing NOV MWD tools (Preferred).
4. Demonstrates a positive attitude with the desire to be a team-player.
5. Ability to work in a shop environment and conduct physical activities such as lifting, crouching, reaching, and standing for periods of time.
6. HSE Requirements: Squatting, bending, lifting, reaching, and walking.
7. Required to handle Lithium batteries safely according to NOV procedures and industry standards.
