ROLE PURPOSE:
The role of the “Multi-Skill Technician” is to perform a variety of maintenance tasks with different skill set requirements, as set by the technical maintenance team, at each typology within the complex. Each task execution will comply with SEVEN health and safety policies, in assistance with the Sr. technician, supervised by the Team Leader, for each ride & device installed at the complex.
This role will involve active support during the installation time onsite, working alongside contractors & manufacturers, aiming to execute SEVEN’s maintenance requirements, processes & technical pre & post opening requirements, ensuring operational readiness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES
Managerial & Strategic Responsibilities:
- Active participation with operation department requirements on a day-to-day basis.
- Safety awareness responsibility of the candidate & peers of task actions execution.
- Work to best international safety practices and local authorities’ regulations in KSA.
- Execute & monitor the technical requirements of the ride/device with support of peers in day-to-day activities set by the technical management.
Core Responsibilities:
Comply with SEVEN’s technical maintenance requirements, by implementing, executing, and recording the maintenance activities set by the management, falling under H&S policies and operation’s instruction, of each typology within the complex, including but not limited to:
- Giving feedback for continuous improvement of all technical documents, including those defined by the manufacturer and designed by SEVEN Technical department, including but not limited to: SOP’s, technical manuals, troubleshooting guidance, evacuation procedure, PM checklists, REHAB, NDT schedules, etc.
- Support with the implementation of Asset management software and awareness of uploaded information.
- Maintain departmental spare part/consumable requirements and proactively support the Team Leader by providing feedback for stock availability.
- Responsible for achieving department and company objectives, action plans, and key performance indicators to support the company balanced scorecard approach in achieving the executive strategic plan.
- Capable of fulfilling responsibilities of the Sr Technician during absences.
Responsible for the preparation, execution, and recording of the technical maintenance requirements, including but not limited to:
- Executing and carrying out Attraction Ride/Devices Corrective Maintenance and recording results on a day-to-day basis in compliance with industry standards & manufacturer instructions, reporting findings to Team Leader or Assistant Technical Manager.
- Executing and carrying out Attraction Ride and Devices Planned Maintenance and recording results as per schedule on a day-to-day basis in compliance with industry standards & manufacturer instructions, reporting findings to Team Leader or Assistant Technical Manager.
- Attending ride and device stoppages as reported by Assistant Technical Manager/Team Leader, communicating with Operational staff to gather information and rectify issues in a timely and safe manner, recording all corrective maintenance performed and reporting findings to Assistant Technical Manager or Team Leader.
- Ensuring accuracy and quality of work execution, paying particular attention to safety critical inspections, repairs, and correct information recorded.
- Assisting with ensuring Attraction Ride and Device daily operational readiness and annual reliability/availability as per company target.
- Assisting Team Leader with ensuring the availability of required resources to perform all maintenance tasks such as manpower, materials, tools & equipment.
- Identifying any potential areas of improvement or concerns with rides or devices operation and maintenance, such as modification proposals or efficiency improvement related work tasks, and reporting findings to Team Leader or Assistant Technical Manager.
- Assisting to achieve Annual certification/recertification of the attraction’s rides and devices by the Independent Body (IB).
- Executing and carrying out the high-level annual maintenance with scrupulous attention to detail, assuring their continued operation at peak performance.
- Providing departmental involvement during evacuation procedures as necessary and reporting any feedback to the Team Leader or Assistant Technical Manager.
- Executing duty shift tools and equipment inspections, as per SEVEN tools and equipment management policy, including quarantining and reporting findings for any “out of calibration” or damaged equipment.
- Complying with the Learning and Development training strategy, including delivering training and maintaining training records.
- Following all QHSE policies and procedures as per company policies and strategy.
- Optimal use of consumables with minimum wastage and maintaining a clean workable environment area.

Minimum Qualifications
- Electro-Mechanical Engineering Certificate / similar diploma in the same field.
- NEBOSH advantageous but not necessary.
- Written and Spoken English; Arabic spoken advantageous but not necessary.
Years of Experience
- Minimum 5 years in the leisure and attraction industry (preferably in theme park / FEC industry).
- Experience in Major ride/device maintenance activities is advantageous (annual REHAB), preferably on complex roller coasters.
Training
- Pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics.
- Work at Height advantageous but not necessary.
- Train the Trainer.
- IPAF (mobile elevated working platform license) advantageous but not necessary.
- PASMA (mobile scaffold erection license) advantageous but not necessary.
Nature of Experience
- Familiar with the ride EN13814 and/or ASTM F24 standards, to include roller coasters, carousels, dark rides, wind tunnel, climbing wall, karting, and playgrounds, falling under SASO regulator.
- Technical experience within the leisure and attraction industry, including NDT procedures, lubrication, use of technical documents and schematics, and torquing.
- Proven track record in day-to-day maintenance of Theme Park/FEC rides and devices &/or Water Park equipment along with supporting the certification/recertification process.
- Detailed knowledge of roller coasters (Rehab, certification, evacuation, LOTO).
- Familiarity with thrill rides, family rides, kiddie rides, wind tunnel, climbing walls, E karting/Karting.
- Experience with ride vendors: Mack, Vekoma, Zamperla, B&M, Maurer, IE park, SBF VISA, Gosetto, etc.
