Role Purpose:

The Line represents a new way of living, within 5 minutes of entertainment, retail, healthcare, sports and education facilities. The LINE Execution Strategy defines a City Infrastructure, formed around forty four 500m high concrete cores and concrete ‘hard decks’, which form the public realm and mobility (transport) platforms for The LINE. Within the City Infrastructure lie the City Neighbourhoods and Iconic Assets, which represent the communities within The LINE. Each of the Neighbourhoods in Phase 1 of The LINE are different and will have their own character.

The Modular Asset Director is responsible for the Modular Strategy and subsequently the design integration, manufacture, assembly, logistics and commissioning of components and modules. Each modular asset comprises a vital component of a new City and the Modular Asset Director is entirely responsible for all aspects of the planning, manufacture and handover of completed assets. The Modular Asset Director will be part of The LINE Projects, Senior Management Team, comprising leaders in Planning, Design, Engineering, Project Controls, Commercial, Construction Excellence, Construction Delivery and will be expected to collaborate across these delivery functions and with stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Overall accountability for the delivery of a modular strategy from design to handover and operation;
  • Leadership of a team of senior design and industrial manufacturing professionals and their support staff, to deliver a demanding schedule;
  • Management of design and assembly, to budget;
  • Management of tier1, international manufacturing and fabrication partners, to achieve overall The LINE Projects objectives.
  • Delivery of the Phase 1 Modules and Assets, End to end responsibility for schedule, cost, and quality from design stage to handover to meet current and future commitments and to maximize opportunities with the emphasis on safe, collaborative delivery, quality, logistics and handover.
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Able to process schedule requirements, analyze multi-layered delivery schedules and react to change. Able to concisely report on progress and challenges.
  • A well-developed understanding of lean principles, industrial delivery, systems engineering, schedule, supply chain & cost management.
  • The ability to balance the stakeholder expectations and perceptions against the needs of the sectors, City Infrastructure and NEOM business.
  • Gathering and synthesizing information, identifying options, and applying sound judgement based on logic and reason, making use of a variety of analytical approaches to provide relevant information to suppliers, stakeholders and decision makers using key facts and data.
  • Oversee the modular delivery programme, identify deviances and act to ensure programme targets are met.
  • Oversee the quality of production and act where necessary to ensure the required quality is delivered.
  • Lead a robust change control process, while adopting a collaborative work ethic.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree or MS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field. Preferably Chartered Engineer status and/or Project Management accreditation.
  • 20 years of experience in construction, manufacturing, design and management.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction delivery processes, means and methods.
  • Understanding of all facets of the industrial manufacturing process.
  • Familiar with modular construction and implementation technologies.
  • Strong experience in organization co-ordination.
  • Integration and package component management (through supply chains).
  • Complex stakeholder and interface management experience.
