Metrologist (Electrical)

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

1. To participate in the calibration, repair and development of TMDE and other equipment and software.
2. Generate report, analysis and certificate for all calibration and repair.
3. Complete any related work required by the department.
4. Apply measurement science, mathematics, physics, to develop, document and maintain calibration systems, procedures and methods for Electrical, DC/AC voltage, Resistance, Current, Impedance, Power and Radio Frequency for Test Measuring and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
5. Evaluate new calibration methods and procedures.
6. Use statistics to analyze measurement standards and processes.
7. Recommend calibration standards and TMDE.
8. Maintain calibration laboratory and quality systems.
9. Perform laboratory and/or departmental administration.

OUTLINE QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE:

To be educated to a minimum level of Ordinary National Certificate in Physics, Electronics or Electrical Engineering (or have significant work experience and demonstrated academic abilities to waiver this educational requirement).
