Job description

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • 7 years of experience in the same field and 3 years in the same position as Nurse Manager for Mental Health Hospital or Center.
  • Managerial skills with diploma or Masters in related field.
  • Dataflow is a must.
  • Saudi license holder is a plus.
  • Fluent in English.

Job description and responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages professional development and teamwork.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff.
  • Identify training needs and facilitate ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure that patient assessments, care plans, and interventions align with best practices in mental health nursing.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Oversee daily operations of the mental health unit, ensuring efficient workflow and resource management.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance service delivery and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided to patients, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff regarding treatment plans and updates.
  • Oversee crisis intervention strategies and ensure staff are trained in de-escalation techniques.
  • Respond to emergencies and facilitate appropriate interventions.
  • Assist in the development and management of the nursing budget, ensuring resource allocation aligns with departmental needs.
  • Monitor expenditures and seek cost-effective solutions for service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to mental health care.
  • Participate in accreditation processes and audits.
  • Advocacy and Community Engagement:
  • Advocate for patients’ rights and access to mental health services.
  • Engage with the community to promote mental health awareness and resources.
