Mental Health Nurse Manager
Job description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- 7 years of experience in the same field and 3 years in the same position as Nurse Manager for Mental Health Hospital or Center.
- Managerial skills with diploma or Master's in a related field.
- Dataflow is a must.
- Saudi license holder is a plus.
- Fluent in English.
Job description and responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages professional development and teamwork.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff.
- Identify training needs and facilitate ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure that patient assessments, care plans, and interventions align with best practices in mental health nursing.
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement strategies for improvement.
- Oversee daily operations of the mental health unit, ensuring efficient workflow and resource management.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance service delivery and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided to patients, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff regarding treatment plans and updates.
- Oversee crisis intervention strategies and ensure staff are trained in de-escalation techniques.
- Respond to emergencies and facilitate appropriate interventions.
- Assist in the development and management of the nursing budget, ensuring resource allocation aligns with departmental needs.
- Monitor expenditures and seek cost-effective solutions for service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to mental health care.
- Participate in accreditation processes and audits.
- Advocacy and Community Engagement:
- Advocate for patients’ rights and access to mental health services.
- Engage with the community to promote mental health awareness and resources.
