Novo Nordisk has multiple openings for the position of Medical Representative, in the cities of Riyadh, Makkah, Jeddah, Madinah, and Dammam. These positions will be under the Commercial functions, and you will directly report to the District Sales Manager.

The Position


As a Medical Representative, you will be representing Novo Nordisk’s vision, values, and commitments in the daily conduct with internal and external stakeholders. You will be promoting and selling products to healthcare professionals, while also developing and managing long-term relationships.


Your main accountabilities will be:


  1. Designing, developing, and implementing the business plan for your geographical area to ensure that the company objectives and sales targets are achieved.
  2. Measuring, tracking, evaluating, and presenting key metrics: prescription depth and breadth planning.
  3. Identifying and utilizing high-potential sales opportunities along with preparing the territory plan of action to execute the sales and marketing business objectives.
  4. Providing customers with medical information and services consistent with their needs.
  5. Building sustainable relationships and customer loyalty.

Qualifications


As a Medical Representative, we expect you to be a self-starter, one who can evaluate options and find resolutions on your own with minimal supervision. You need to have an aptitude for learning and an ability to communicate technical and scientific product and disease management information, as well as value propositions for the products under your responsibility.


To be successful in this role:


  1. Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy is a must.
  2. 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Representative within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry – Fresh Graduates with less than a year of experience are also welcome to apply.
  3. Proficiency in English and Arabic is a must.
  4. A valid driving license is a must.
  5. Experience in Diabetes or Cardiovascular is a plus.
  6. Proficiency in selling, presenting, and communication skills with a proficiency in establishing, developing, and maintaining long-term relationships.

About the Department


The Diabetes Care Sales Team leads Novo Nordisk’s Diabetes product portfolio in Saudi Arabia, which includes world-class therapies for the treatment of diabetes and the reduction of adverse cardiovascular events. As part of the team, you will be responsible for promoting NN products, having frontline exposure to our portfolio vision, business strategies, and critical market insights that drive our business forward. You will drive the NN GLP-1 & Insulin portfolio strategy to ensure that the latest therapies and products reach the people who need them most.


The Rare Disease business unit in Saudi consists of a highly motivated, energetic, and focused team who is passionate about providing a better quality of life to patients. The Rare Disease Portfolio is divided into the Rare Endocrine Disorders and the Rare Blood Disorders. We aspire to launch innovative medications for patients who live with Haemophilia in the future.
