The Position

Primary Purpose
Medical Enabler is a strategic role that provides technical and functional expertise to facilitate faster access, with better outcomes for more patients, in accordance with relevant laws, regulations and Roche SOPs.

Medical Enablers provide therapy area expertise and are considered local medical / scientific experts across one or more therapy areas.

Duties & Responsibilities
Enabler duties and responsibilities

• Coach & mentor the PPOCs on delivering strategic plans for therapeutic areas, which will have a clear external impact to facilitate faster access, with better outcomes for more patients.
• Act as a thought partner for PJPs and/or HSPs to successfully deliver and implement solutions for the ecosystems.
• Work in a self-managed team of peers and ensure that you hold each other accountable to effectively deliver solutions for the ecosystems the PJPs/HSPs you work will serve.
• Deeply understand the needs of the external ecosystems as articulated by the PJPs/HSPs, and identify existing solutions that can deliver rapid and sustainable outcomes.
• Support in solution delivery with the PJPs/HSPs.

• Coach and technical expert for the PJPs/HSPs on all medical related topics.
• Coach the PPOCs in conducting medical affairs activities, analyzing insights, data and making strategic recommendations.
• Act as a technical expert and enabler that facilitates collaboration between PPOCs and functions related to Medical Affairs, particularly functions considered ‘License to Operate’ (e.g. local safety, clinical operations and local quality).
• Act as a local expert to provide medical / scientific therapy area expertise across one or more therapy areas.

• The role is empowered to pull in expertise and resources locally and from any network or PJP/HSP or enablers when needed.
• Works proactively and collaboratively with individuals and teams.
• Works proactively and collaboratively with external customers.

• MD preferred.
• University degree in pharmacy or other relevant medical discipline.
• ≥ 5 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Deep understanding of relevant pharma industry codes of conduct and regulations.
